Director Search

Little Falls Community Outreach (LFCO) seeks a visionary nonprofit leader who has a passion for serving the needs of others to build a strong, healthier community. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Director will have overall management responsibility for growing an impactful organization.

This part-time position reports to the Board of Directors. This impactful leadership position is responsible for overseeing the administration and programs for LFCO. This role requires a mission-driven leader who is passionate about leading hands-on operations, fostering growth, as well as managing LFCO’s programs.

Flexible hours and the ability to work remotely will be made available and discussed in more detail with a prospective candidate. The Director will have the opportunity to grow this position through successful fundraising and development for the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operations of LFCO in partnership with the Board, current staff, and volunteers.
  • Provide consistent quality and clarity of the organization’s finance and administration.
  • Create, manage and work within the LFCO agency budget. 
  • Regularly submit hours worked for payroll purposes.
  • Ensure that staff and volunteers continue to deliver ongoing programs in a successful manner.
  • Provide updates to the Board on overall programs and finance through Board meetings.
  • Foster a positive working environment through inclusive, transparent, and empowering leadership with a focus on the unique abilities of each staff member and volunteer.
  • Recruit and motivate trusted volunteers that believe in the LFCO.
  • Participate hands-on in program delivery as needed.
  • Drive development and fundraising for the organization.
  • Collaborate with other local agencies (school district, non-profits, etc.) to serve our community’s unmet needs.
  • Respond to crisis as needed in partnership with the LFCO community crisis advocate.
  • Actively serve as an ambassador for LFCO within the community and promote the mission.
  • Partner with the Board to ensure policies and procedures are met and remain current for the organization. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong passion for the mission and programs of LFCO.
  • An affinity for serving those in need throughout the community.
  • Fundamental knowledge of office administration and fiscal management.
  • Confidence and ability to leverage technology for purposes of maintaining donor information, LFCO balance sheet, and other information critical to a successful organization.
  • Experience in establishing clear, measurable business goals.
  • Ability to manage and delegate to staff and volunteers.
  • Capacity to influence and lead the organization towards growth.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well with media, staff, and the community.
  • BA degree in business administration, liberal arts, leadership, or human services is preferred, however a combination of other education and work experience will be considered.
  • Previous nonprofit leadership experience is a must have.
