Banana Splits

When superheroes need our help, Banana Splits is here for them. This program continues to serve a large group of children by offering small group weekly sharing & support sessions for grades K-5 (75 during the 2019-2020 school year). 

Debbie Shaffer is the program's coordinator.  She is a permanent employee of Benton Hall Academy and provides these services during the school day.

Banana Splits is not only for children of divorce, but also for children undergoing a variety of stresses at home.  These weekly counseling sessions are typically in-person however our school was forced to transition to virtual in early 2020 due to COVID-19.  Accommodations were swiftly put in place to provide ongoing contact with the children.

Currently, Banana Splits offers a hybrid service model providing sessions for students who are in school and also those enrolled virtually.
